mobile gadget retailer in West Africa, managing multiple retail locations and
an expanding e-commerce platform. The company deals with high volumes of
customer data, online transactions, and distributed endpoints used by sales
teams and inventory managers.
Top-Success challenges:
The shift to a cashless economy has caused e rising threats of POS malware, phishing, and
ransomware across both in-store and online operations. Top Success has a limited IT manpower to support growing
infrastructure, including devices at multiple outlets and there is an urgent need to safeguard customer payment data
and comply with PCI DSS standards. Additionally, the existing infrastructure has
fragmented tools for backup,
antivirus, and patching which usually slowed
down response time to security incidents.
Pyralink’s solution with Essential Cybersecurity Toolkit:
Pyralink first deployed the toolkit on Top
Success servers and endpoints with
Active Protection, Advanced Backup, and automated patch management. Thereafter, rolled out single-agent protection across store
systems, mobile POS devices, and back-office laptops. For the Data Loss
Prevention, we implemented
device control to prevent unauthorized USB transfers and secure inventory
systems and utilized a remote management tool to support endpoints
in-store and in warehouses from a central dashboard.
Results:
Multiple
ransomware attempts were blocked with
real-time recovery, resulting in zero data loss and no business interruption. There is a cut down IT time spent on patching and updates
by over 55%, freeing staff for innovation projects and Top Success has passed PCI DSS audit and improved internal IT
audit scores by 38% within 6 months. This improvement had enabled Top Success
to have a 30% increase in agent sales
